Being the Golden State Warriors interim coach doesn’t get you any preferential treatment in the Bay Area, as Mike Brown found out just before the start of Game 2 on Tuesday.

Just outside Oracle Arena, Brown ran into some trouble with local police after he attempted to follow the San Antonio Spurs team bus inside.  That’s when all hell broke loose.

”So I literally start to go and I’m going to get in the far left lane to go through where we all go through, and a cop out of nowhere pulls in front of me and goes, ‘Hey you, stop!'” Brown said. “So I’m like feeling myself a little bit. I’m like, ‘Hey, I’m being bullied by Oakland PD or San Francisco PD in my own building, my own parking lot.’ So I start to go a little bit and another one pulls up: ‘Hey, you, you heard him, stop!’

Brown and reporters weren’t the only ones who got a kick out of the incident, as Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich thought it was hilarious as well.

“Someone has to teach him, if the California Highway Patrol tell you to move over, you move over. He didn’t do that,” Popovich quipped.
