Steph Curry Wants to Join PGA After Basketball Career Is Over
Steph Curry isn’t 100% sure what he’ll do once his basketball career is finished. But joining the PGA is definitely on the table.
Curry was asked about the possibility of pursuing pro golf in a wide-randing interview with the Golf Channel’s David Feherty that aired on Monday night.
“I’ve thought about it,” Curry admitted. “I’m very sensitive to the experience of the PGA Tour guys out there who have dedicated their life to what they do, just like I have with basketball. I don’t think I could, obviously, just jump out there…It’d be a lot of work that would go into it.”
When Feherty observed that Steph has the right mindset to be a successful golfer, the Golden State Warriors superstar agreed.
“I have the passion for the game, I think, to fight through whatever it would take,” Curry said. “I don’t know if it’s in the cards after I’m done playing, but I will still be playing golf until (my NBA career) is over.”
Of course, Curry’s love of golf is no secret. Who could forget his reaction when he found out about Jordan Spieth‘s meltdown at the 2016 Masters? Still, it may surprise some fans to know that he refers to golf as “1B on my list of passions.”
Curry blames his love of golf on Tiger Woods.
“He made me want to just watch every single shot of every single tournament he played,” Curry told Feherty.
Does this mean Drake is going to rap about golf, now?
