Bradley Beal Says The Cavs Were Scared To Play The Wizards & Avoided Them At All Costs
Never a good idea to talk trash about a team when you couldn’t even advance far enough into the playoffs to face them.
The Washington Wizards had a good run in the playoffs, but couldn’t outlast the Boston Celtics in Game 7 for a chance to face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals. It’s a good thing to, because the Cavs wanted nothing to do with that Wizards squad and they avoided playing them at all costs, according to Wizards guard Bradley Beal.
“Cleveland didn’t want to see us. I always said that. I felt like that’s the reason they didn’t play us in the second round. They didn’t want to see us in the second round,” he said. “If they were going to go down, they were going to go down in the conference finals. They didn’t want to go down in the second round.”
Maybe next year, Beal.
