As you may have heard, on Monday the Tampa Bay Buccaneers social media team trolled the hell out of the Atlanta Falcons with a pretty epic tweet.

It all started when the Falcons responded to this tweet about fidget spinners…

With this tweet…

To which the Bucs responded with this epic burn…

Personally, I think this is absolutely amazing. What do the Bucs have to apologize for? Being awesome at Twitter?

Unfortunately, Bucs coach Dirk Koetter does not feel the same way. So on Thursday he apologized to the Falcons for hutting their wittow feewings.

“I want to make sure on behalf of the Bucs organization that I apologize to the Falcons for whatever that was supposed to be that went out on social media,” Koetter said. “That’s not what our organization is about.

“That was totally unprofessional and not smart on our part, whoever was responsible for that,” Koetter continued. “Heck, we wanted to be playing in the Super Bowl, and we were home sitting on our butts while they were playing. We’ve got no room to make fun of anybody that was in the Super Bowl, whether they won or not.”

Dirk, buddy, I think I speak for the whole internet when I say you need to lighten up. This is how Twitter works. Jesus, the Falcons social media team started this, and your social media team finished it. Take the W.
