JR Smith: When Cavs On Top of Their Game, We Can Beat Anyone Including 1996 Bulls (VIDEO)
J.R. Smith is a confident man, despite a Game 1 beat-down at the hands of the Golden State Warriors. By his logic, the Cleveland Cavaliers lost that game to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and no one else.
After Saturday’s practice, Smith stated the defending champs can beat anyone that is put in front of them when they’re on top of their game, including the 1996 Chicago Bulls.

“Watching basketball throughout the course of the season, you obviously know they’re very good,” the Cavaliers shooting guard said of the Warriors. “But one thing about us: It’s all about us. If we take care of what we’re supposed to take care of, it doesn’t matter if it’s the ’96 Bulls … We would win.
“We just gotta worry about us, understand that no matter what they do, if we do what we’re supposed to do, they can’t beat us.”
That’s a lot of confidence coming from a guy who had 3 points, 2 turnovers, 1 personal foul, and absolutely nothing else in game 1.
