Another day, another suspicious claim by an athlete that “their account was hacked.” After last night’s gut-punch Game 3 loss put the Cavs down 0-3 against the Warriors in the NBA Finals, a tweet was fired off from J.R. Smith‘s Twitter account that read simply, “Cavs in

Smith said he wouldn’t have fired off that message just minutes after a crushing loss, but did add, “I like the way he’s thinking,” in regards to the hacker’s message.

Smith explained to Cleveland.com, “I got out of the shower and my phone was buzzing. I did not tweet that. I’m smarter than that.”

Whatever the case, Smith’s short and sweet prediction was taken down from his Twitter account just 20 minutes after being posted.

I’m sure he’s choosing to believe the message nonetheless, but being down 3-0, it’s going to take a lot of faith.
