Dustin Johnson and Wife Paulina Gretzky Welcome Second Child on Eve of Johnson’s Defense of U.S. Open Title (Pic)
The 2017 U.S. Open kicks off on Thursday at Erin Hills in Wisconsin, and it wraps up on Sunday, which of course is Father’s Day.
Defending champ and current world #1 Dustin Johnson would certainly love to make it two in a row. However, even if he isn’t able to hoist the U.S. Open trophy for a second straight year, he already got a pretty great Father’s Day present. That’s because on Monday, Johnson’s wife, Paulina Gretzky, gave birth to their second child—another boy.
Those of you who have money riding on Johnson need not worry, though. Johnson and Gretzky had it all planned out. Gretzky gave birth to their son via scheduled c-section. Then on Tuesday Johnson flew to Wisconsin, and he was out on the course by 6:30 p.m. He now has all day Wednesday to study the course and get focused.
ESPN golf reporter Ian O’Conner tweeted out the first image of Johnson and Gretzky’s new son, whose name we still don’t know:

You know all the sportswriters will be pulling for Johnson this weekend. If he can pull off the win at Erin Mills on Father’s Day, the feel-good columns will pretty much write themselves.
