Marshawn Lynch Tops NFL Jersey Sales In May, Kaepernick 17th
You think people are excited about Marshawn Lynch‘s return to the NFL?
According to NFL Shop, the Raiders running back topped all players in jersey sales in the month of May. Lynch was the top seller in 14 different states across America, including Washington, Alaska, Hawaii and, of course, California.
Coming in second on the list was Tom Brady, thanks to the support of bandwagon Patriots fans and haters who’d like to burn his jersey. He was followed by the Cowboys’ sophomore combo of Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott.
The highest rookie on the list is Houston quarterback Deshaun Watson, while former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick remains on the list at number 17—despite not having a team at the moment.
Other surprises include James Conner, who came in at number 11 and led all of Pennsylvania in jersey sales, as well as Adam Thielen leading the state of Minneapolis, Greg Olsen topping Ohio sales, and Brady being the best seller in the rival state of Florida.
As for Lynch’s position at the top, that shouldn’t surprise anyone. Being a fan favorite like Beast Mode is, and playing on a new team after coming out of retirement, it’s no wonder everyone wants themselves a silver and black no. 24 jersey.
