Boston Celtics Are Reportedly Trying To Trade For Anthony Davis
The Boston Celtics are trying to win and win right now.
After agreeing to trade the #1 overall pick to the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday, Danny Ainge is looking to shake up the NBA once again by attempting to trade for a star.
The latest trade target for the Boston Celtics is New Orleans Pelicans franchise player Anthony Davis, according to Chris Mannix of The Vertical. However, there is very little interest in the Pelicans to move Davis, who’s under contract for four more years and was just recently paired up with former Sacramento Kings big man DeMarcus Cousins.
The Celtics certainly have the assets to make any move they want, as they could hold up to nine first-round picks in the next three seasons, with several selections slated to be in the lottery.
Davis averaged 28 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks while shooting 50.5 percent from the field. He’s still only 24 years old.
