REPORT: Kyrie Irving Will Demand The Cavs To Trade Him If LeBron James Leaves In 2018
Two NBA Finals losses in three years was bad enough, but when reports came out that LeBron James may bolt from Cleveland once again for the bright lights in Los Angeles with the Lakers, it got that much worse.
Nobody in Cleveland wants to see a LeBron-less Cavaliers team take the floor, because that means they are back to no playoffs and high draft picks every single year. Fans aren’t the only ones who won’t stick around, either.
Apparently, star PG Kyrie Irving will inform the front office to trade him immediately if LeBron leaves the franchise during the 2018 offseason.
“All-Star Kyrie Irving has been contacting some of his former Team USA teammates and letting them know that he might be willing to push for a trade, especially if he feels the Cavs’ run could end quickly with James able to opt out after next season.
Through back channels, Chicago would be one of the places that Irving would be interested to play.
Clearly the asking price for Irving would be too rich for what the Bulls have, and a third team would also have to be brought into that mix.”
The good times may be coming to an end for Cavs fans, so enjoy the super team while you can.
