Dwight Howard’s Sister GOES OFF on City of Atlanta and Hawks After His Trade
Days before the draft, Charlotte and Atlanta worked out a surprise trade for former All-Star Dwight Howard, seemingly from out of nowhere. Clearly, Dwight’s sister Tashanda didn’t see this coming. She voiced her outrage over the deal while speaking to 92.9 The Game in Atlanta in the days after the news.
“I hear how people talk and the things they say, and I just don’t think that Atlanta is a loyal city. I really don’t,” she said.
She continued, “He was one of the first big free agents to come here, and I think a lot of the free agents are going to look at that and see how they do their free agency, and they are not going to want to come to this city.”
The move was part of a salary dump primarily, something that is not that uncommon in the NBA. While Atlanta has made some questionable decisions in the past, Howard’s giant financial burden on the team made this a fairly understandable move for both sides from an outsider’s perspective.
