Earlier this week the Philadelphia 76ers traded the no. 3 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft plus a future first round pick to the Boston Celtics for the no. 1 overall pick. And on Thursday night they used that pick on Washington point guard Markelle Fultz.

Of course, everybody knew the Sixers would take Fultz. That was the whole point in trading up. However, Markelle and his sponsor, luxury watch maker Tissot, wanted to play things safe. And, ironically, their caution resulted in the first Twitter fail of Markelle’s career about 20 minutes after he turned pro.

Fultz published the obligatory photo of himself wearing a 76ers hat right after getting drafted on Thursday night. However, he blew totally it with the caption.

Take a look:

Yep, it looks like Markelle Fultz had the post pre-written and ready to go. All he had to do was insert “Philadelphia” where it said “City” and “76ers” where is said “team name,” then his publish. Only he forgot and published the post with the place holder text. As a result, his first promotional social media post as a professional basketball player was a total failure.

Hopefully his career with the 76ers gets off to a better start.

The Twitter trolls took to action second after it happened. Let’s see what they had to say….
