Report: Houston Rockets Serious About Acquiring Paul George
The Houston Rockets have already landed one big name this offseason, after acquiring all-star point guard Chris Paul from the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for Sam Dekker, Patrick Beverley, Lou Williams, and a 2018 top-three protected first-round pick.
And apparently, they may not be done there.
According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Houston Rockets are also looking for a way to trade for Indiana Pacers swingman Paul George.
There are few teams that are in the same (metaphorical) league as the Warriors, but the Rockets with James Harden, Chris Paul, and Paul George would certainly be close. Of course, acquiring George is far from certain, as he is reportedly willing to wait until next year to sign with the Lakers. But with the iron hot in Houston, his timeline to depart Indiana might get accelerated.
James Harden might want to give him a call, too.
