Internet Reacts to Phil Jackson Being Fired By Knicks (TWEETS)
Okay, so at the moment they are saying that Phil Jackson is “parting ways” with the Knicks, rather than being fired. But we all know that if Phil hadn’t agreed to step down, he would have been given the boot anyway, especially after he was torched by Knicks fans and the media when he announced his intentions to trade Kristaps Porzingis.
So despite the fact that it may not technically be a firing, we’re still going to call it one. And what a firing it was for Knicks fans, as they undoubtedly woke up this morning in a good mood after hearing the news.
Many of those happy Knicks fans even took to social media to post their thoughts on Phil Jackson’s departure. Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter:

Phil Jackson just might have been the worst team-builder in NBA history. For sure the man who hired him is the worst NBA owner ever. — Skip Bayless (@RealSkipBayless) June 28, 2017
Phil Jackson never proved to be a great coach — just a great coach of the best players. No small trick. But he did have MJ, Shaq/Kobe, Kobe

Phil Jackson should’ve been fired one year ago right after giving $73 million to Joakim Noah. Phil is off his rocker. What’s taking so long?

Let Phil Jackson serve as a cautionary tale. Nobody stands in the way of the Knicks and 30 wins. Nobody.
