REPORT: LeBron Isn’t Actively Recruiting Any Players To The Cavs
The 2017-2018 season might mark the final time Cleveland Cavaliers fans will cheer for LeBron James—if the rumors are true about him leaving once again after the season. LeBron came back and won a championship for the city like he wanted to, and now he owes the franchise nothing else.
Rumors are just that: rumors. But with the recent report of LeBron doing absolutely nothing to recruit any players to the Cavaliers, his actions speak louder than words and many see it as a sign that he’s leaving after next season.
“While the NBA’s free-agency frenzy kicked off Friday night, signaling the official start of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ mission to return to a championship level, the team’s biggest star is remaining hands-off as he watches the action unfold.
LeBron James is not actively recruiting on behalf of the Cavs as the franchise zeroes in on its top free-agent targets, a league source told ESPN on Saturday.
The choice by James to be a bystander comes at a fragile time for the team, which is navigating free agency without a general manager in place after parting ways with David Griffin nearly two weeks ago.”
With the addition of Lonzo Ball and the possible addition of Paul George next offseason, the Los Angeles Lakers are looking like a top free agent destination for the King.
