Madison Bumgarner Absolutely Rocked By Single-A Club For 4 HRs In Rehab Start
There are a bunch of kids in the California League that will have a story to tell for the rest of their lives as they all took turns getting a hit off of Madison Bumgarner on Wednesday.
They didn’t just knock the leather off the ball for base hits. They knocked the ball out of the park 4 DIFFERENT TIMES against Bumgarner. In his second rehab start, and his first with the High-A San Jose Giants, Bumgarner allowed eight of his nine earned runs in the 4th inning, during which he faced 11 batters and allowed three homers.

This marks the second straight disappointing rehab start for Bumgarner after he allowed four runs in 3 2/3 innings with Triple-A Sacramento on June 30. His next rehab start is scheduled to take place July 10, once again in San Jose.
