Houston Rockets Have Reportedly Turned ‘Full Attention’ To Carmelo Anthony
The Houston Rockets are all in.
With the recent addition of former Los Angeles Clippers PG Chris Paul, the Houston Rockets are looking to make at least one more huge splash in an already crazy offseason for the NBA.
After locking up James Harden with the most lucrative contract in NBA history over the weekend, the team has now turned their full attention to obtaining current New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony, league sources told Adrian Wojnarowski and Brian Windhorst of ESPN.
“The Rockets followed that up with a series of trades that have allowed them to re-enter the transaction market. The Rockets have been in talks with the Knicks about Anthony, who has informed the Knicks he would waive his no-trade clause if a deal could be worked out with Houston, league sources told ESPN.”
Anthony averaged 22.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists last season while appearing in 74 games in yet another wasted year, as the team missed the playoffs for the 4th straight time.
