The Freeze Takes the L at All-Star Game, Handing Atlanta Another Humiliating Defeat (Video)
The biggest story of the 2017 MLB season so far has seen the emergence of new superstars. There’s Aaron Judge in New York. There’s Eric Thames in Milwaukee. There’s Cody Bellinger in Los Angeles. And, last but certainly not least, there’s The Freeze in Atlanta.
For the uninitiated, The Freeze is a guy in a blue unitard who races fans on the field in between innings at Braves games. The speedster gives the fans a 30-yard head start, but he almost always wins.
It’s seriously one of the best ballpark gimmicks of all time. Take a look:

Of course, while The Freeze may be a legend, he is not actually superhuman. His real name is Nigel Talton, he’s a former collegiate track star, and he is beatable.
On Tuesday, The Freeze took his talents to South Beach for the 2017 MLB All-Star Game. This time, unfortunately, he just could not catch up with the speedy Marlins fan chosen to race him in between the second and third innings.

Another devastating loss for Atlanta sports fans. Somebody test that Marlins fan for PEDs!
