Chris Christie Catches Foul Ball at Mets Game, Gets Booed by Fans and Burned by TV Announcer (Video)
Fans at Citi Field booed a guy who make a nice catch on a foul ball during the New York Mets’ game against the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday night.
That might seem a little cruel, even for New Yorkers. However, it’s important to note that the guy who caught the ball was Dallas Cowboys fan Chris Christie.
The failed presidential candidate, failed Trump lackey, and failed but still somehow current New Jersey governor was sitting in the second row between home plate and the Mets dugout. During the top of the third, a pop foul off the bat of Cardinals shortstop Paul DeJong took a fortuitous bounce off some seats and came down right next to Christie, who leaned over and made a nice, clean one-handed grab.
Unfortunately for Christie, everybody sitting in his section immediately recognized him, the ideal candidate to star in a live-action adaptation of Humpty Dumpty. Thus, instead of an ovation, his catch was greeted with a round of hearty boos.
The best part wasn’t even the boos, though. It was Fox Sports Midwest play-by-play man Dan McLaughlin coming up in the clutch with an epic burn related to Christie’s recent beach scandal.

Honestly, at this point why is Chris Christie even leaving the house?
