LeBron James Seems To Be Excited About the Derrick Rose Signing (TWEET)
With Kyrie Irving seemingly on his way out of Cleveland, the Cavaliers wasted little time finding his replacement at the point guard position.
That replacement came in the form of oft-injured 2011 NBA MVP Derrick Rose, who hasn’t played over 70 games in a season since that MVP campaign from 2010-11.
The good news for the Cavs is that Rose has managed to play in at least 64 games in each of the last two season after failing to reach that mark (or even come close to it) in his three seasons before that. In 2016-17, as a member of the New York Knicks, D-Rose played in 64 games and averaged 18 points, 4.4 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game.
Rose’s stock has obviously fallen quite a bit since he was named MVP six seasons ago, but there’s at least one Cavs player who is still really excited about this signing:

LeBron James‘ approval is all you really need when you’re a member of the Cavs, and it probably wasn’t hard for Derrick Rose to get it. I mean, after that who Kyrie Irving saga, you’d have to assume that LeBron would be happy with any player who is still willing to play with him.
