Julio Jones Loses $150k Diamond Earring In Lake, Hires Dive Team To Find It (VIDEO)
It’s been a rough year for players on the Atlanta Falcons, as they get set to begin a new season after blowing the biggest lead in Super Bowl history just five months ago.
To make matters worse, Falcons stud wide receiver Julio Jones has another huge, non-football-related problem on his hands. He recently lost a $150,000 diamond earring during a jet ski ride at Lake Lanier this week.
He later noticed it was missing after he fell off the jet ski, but refused to leave the lake until he made an actual effort to find the pricey piece of jewelry.
“I’m getting ready to dive for a diamond ring – a diamond earring,” Diver Bobby Griffin said to 11 Alive.
“Yeah, it was worth a little bit,” Julio Jones said.
“As long as I’m good, it’s materialistic stuff,” he said. “You can always get that kind of stuff back.”
The $150K Diamond earring is feared to be some 65-feet at the bottom of the lake somewhere.
“It’s down in crevasses and nooks and crannies,” Pickering said. “It’s impossible – absolutely impossible.”
This is how it looks down there:
