Julian Edelman, Stephon Gilmore Ejected From Patriots Practice For Fighting
Stephon Gilmore and Julian Edelman had a light practice on Tuesday, not because the coaching staff took it easy on them, but because they decided to throw hands at one another.
During Tuesday’s training camp practice at Gillette Stadium, QB Jacoby Brissett threw a pass to Edelman, who was tightly covered by Gilmore. Edelman was reportedly upset about Gilmore being so handsy while defending him. The Pats cornerback shoved the wideout and Edelman quickly took him to the ground, where a wrestling match ensued.
Chris Hogan had to forcibly restrain a heated Edelman by picking him up and pulling him off of Gilmore.

“Things like that become a factor whenever heat comes into it,” Allen said. “Tempers start to flare. It’s up to those guys to keep their composure and not cost the team. You do it in practice, and you do it in the game. I’m sure those guys will be better at it in the future.”
