Canelo Alvarez Would Consider Fighting Conor McGregor If He Beats Mayweather
Aside from die-hard MMA fans, no one is actually giving Conor McGregor a punchers chance in hell of defeating Floyd Mayweather later this month.
The Canelo Alvarez and Gennady “GGG” Golovkin fight that is slated to take place next month is a fight boxing fans have been wanting to see for years, but it’s getting little press because of all the Conor McGregor-Floyd Mayweather hype.
The fight is so hyped up that even Canelo is commenting on it. Canelo was asked what he would do if the UFC Lightweight Champion somehow beat the undefeated boxing champ. He suggested he might step in the ring with Conor McGregor if the opportunity presented itself.
“If that miracle was to happen, then we have a conversation. If that miracle were to happen, but I doubt it very much that Conor beats Floyd.”
Luckily for boxing fans, they won’t have to think about that as Mayweather is a heavy favorite to make easy work of Conor Mcgregor in Las Vegas on August 26th.
