D’Angelo Russell Mobbed by Fans in Brooklyn After Drilling Game-Winning Three at Dyckman Streetball Tournament (Videos)
D’Angelo Russell‘s career has gotten off to a rough start. He played pretty well out in Los Angeles, and a lot of influential people in the Lakers organization thought he was the point guard of the future. But everything came crumbling down when he accidentally leaked that video of Nick Young confessing to cheating on Iggy Azelea, and he lost the respect of his teammates and half the players in the NBA. Eventually the Lakers decided to pull the plug on the D’Angelo Russell era, trading him to the Nets and drafting Lonzo Ball to take his place.
Fortunately, things are going much better for D’Angelo in Brooklyn.
On Wednesday the Nets point guard hit the courts at the Dyckman Basketball Tournament, one of the biggest streetball events on the planet. With the playoff game on the line, Russell carried the ball down the court, squared up his defender, and drained a game-winning three pointer in his face.
The shot sent the crowd into a frenzy, and they mobbed Russell in the middle of the court.
