Kyrie Irving Straight-Up Didn’t Speak to His Teammates During the Playoffs
If you think the Cavs’ chemistry may have been a factor in their loss to the Warriors in the NBA Finals, you might find your stance bolstered by some recent news. According to ESPN’s David McMenamin, Kyrie Irving refused to speak to his teammates for several days in a row between playoff rounds.
He reports, “In between the first round when they beat Indiana and the second round when they played Toronto – go consecutive days without speaking to a teammate at practice.”
As we all know, the drama’s only escalated since then, with Irving reportedly demanding a trade to escape the long shadow of LeBron James. With 20 clubs having inquired about the point guard, there’s a safe bet that he’ll find a new home somewhere at some point in the near future, especially since the trouble in the clubhouse runs deeper than we had realized.
