Golf fan Jordan Baker already knew he was not going to win the parlay he’d placed on the winners of golf’s four major championships heading into Sunday’s final round of the PGA Championship. However, Justin Thomas‘s victory made things much more painful.

Prior to the Masters back in April, Baker placed a wager on Bet365 that Sergio Garcia, Rickie Fowler, Brooks Koepka, and Justin Thomas would win the Masters, British Open, U.S. Open, and PGA Championship respectively. If his predictions proved correct, he’d take home £2 million, or roughly $2.5 million.

As you know, Garcia and Koepka won the Masters and U.S. Open, but Fowler did not win the British Open. So Baker knew the bet had already been lost heading into the PGA Championship. However, it would have been much easier to accept the loss if Thomas failed to win the PGA Championship. Jordan Baker would have known that he really didn’t even come close to winning the bet.

However, Thomas did win the PGA Championship. Baker got three out of four major winners right. And it made the final round of the PGA Championship very difficult to watch.

A little while later Baker made a proposal to Rickie Fowler, whom he holds responsible for ruining his payday.

Something tells me that’s not going to happen. But hey, you never know.
