Rob Parker: ‘I’ll Take Colin Kaepernick Over Matt Stafford Right Now’ (VIDEO)
Detroit Lions quarterback Matt Stafford has thrown for over 4,000 yards every single season for the past six seasons, including one season with over 5,000 yards. All those yards have produced three playoff appearances and no playoff wins.
Despite that, the Lions agreed to a contract extension with Stafford on Monday that is worth $135 million over five years and will make the ninth-year quarterback the highest-paid player in NFL history.
On Tuesday’s edition of ‘The Herd,’ Rob Parker argued that Stafford is vastly overrated as a QB. He threw out some stats and records that helped support his claim, but then his argument took a turn for the worse with his next statement.
He argued that free agent QB Colin Kaepernick is a better option at QB for the Detroit Lions than Matthew Stafford right now.
