Jerry Lawler Says Ric Flair Was Given a 20% Chance To Live By Doctors & He Survived
Two weeks ago, Wrestling legend Ric Flair had a major health scare when he had to be rushed to the hospital, where he was put in a medically induced coma to prep him for surgery.
His fiance later revealed that he was having issues with multiple organs and his condition was critical. The sports world started to prep themselves for the eventual news, but in true Flair fashion, he kicked out after a two-and-a-half count.
Now, his longtime friend Jerry Lawler is shedding more light on the situation. He revealed just how close the Nature Boy was to losing his life.
“Apparently it was really a touch and go situation, they explained to him [Ricky Steamboat], and when the Nature Boy had that first surgery, the doctors said that Ric had a 20% chance of survival of making it through that surgery. But we all know that he did pull through. And I heard yesterday, he’s already cutting promos on nurses.”
Cutting promos after staring death in the face is such a Ric Flair thing to do.
