Watch: Conor McGregor Apologizes to Dana White After Losing to Floyd Mayweather (Video)
Conor McGregor fared better against Floyd Mayweather than most of us thought possible. The guy went 10 rounds against one of the best boxers of all time despite having zero professional boxing experience. And they weren’t boring rounds, either. Against all odds, McGregor actually delivered some quality sports entertainment to millions of fans around the globe.
Don’t get me wrong. McGregor is still a bad boxer. Mayweather did exactly what he wanted to do, and he’s like 50 years old or something. But McGregor did way better than anyone expected.
Of course, whatever the odds were going in, losing was not easy for McGregor. Not at first, anyway. This guy has the heart of a champion. If you don’t believe it, take a look at this video shot in the locker room right after the fight. It shows McGregor APOLOGIZING to UFC president Dana White for losing, and White telling McGregor he has absolutely nothing to apologize for.
It’s always a little weird to see Conor McGregor and Dana White acting like real human beings. It’s even weirder to see one of them kiss the other. But ultimately it’s kind of sweet.
That being said, I look forward to seeing McGregor back in the Octagon where he belongs.
