Ronda Rousey Teases Switch to Wrestling Career in New WWE Promo (Video)
Rumors that Ronda Rousey is done with MMA and will eventually make the jump to pro wrestling have been floating around for a while. Now, an appearance by Rousey in a new WWE promo video suggests those rumors might come true pretty soon.
The former UFC women’s bantam weight champion dipped her toes in WWE waters again in a segment that aired during the Mae Young Classic on Monday. In the segment, Rousey and longtime training partners Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir are standing around talking about how great MMA fighter-turned-wrestler Shayna Baszler is when they are confronted by WWE stars Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Bayley. The six of them then exchange a series of dirty looks before Rousey says, “you name the time, you name the place.”
Take a look:
Hey, was that good acting or what?
Seriously, though, moving to the WWE would be a good move for Rousey at this point in her career. After getting kicked in the head a few times she’s clearly (and understandably) lost the will to compete in MMA. Why not join the WWE for a while? The money’s not as good as boxing, but it’s a lot less dangerous.
