Von Miller Says There Are NOT 64 QB’s Better Than Colin Kaepernick & He Should Be Employed (VIDEO)
With 48 hours until the start of a brand new NFL season, Colin Kaepernick finds himself on the outside looking in as it is quite clear that no team plans on signing him—unless their QB goes down or several QB’s go down to injury.
Von Miller is just one of many athletes to speak out and state that the former San Francisco 49ers QB should be employed. The Denver Broncos linebacker not only believes Kaepernick should be employed, but thinks there aren’t 64 quarterbacks in this league that are better than him right now, as he explained to Sports Illustrated.
“I think he definitely should be in the National Football League,” Miller says. “It’s not 64 quarterbacks that’s better than him, and I feel like in the National Football League, that’s what it’s about. It’s about ‘can you play’ or ‘what can you do for me.’ There’s not 64 quarterbacks that’s better than Colin Kaepernick. That’s just cut and dry. It’s plain and simple.”
Miller went on to include that Kaepernick would be a good fit for “75 percent” of offenses because of his arm strength and ability to move in the pocket. He went on to conclude that he wasn’t quite sure if National Anthem protest is the sole reason why he’s out of a job right now.
The quarterback needy Broncos recently re-signed Brock Osweiler after he bolted in free agency to sign with the Texans and then was traded to the Browns, who recently cut him from the squad.
