Vegas Police Org. Rips Into Michael Bennett, Offended By ‘False Racist’ Accusations
Nevada’s largest police interest group is not going to sit around and watch Michael Bennett continue to slander them. They want the NFL to take immediate action against the NFL star for ‘falsely’ claiming that they were racially profiling him.
On Thursday, the president of the Las Vegas Police Protective Association sent off a letter to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell stating the following:
“On behalf of the rank and file members of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, I request that you conduct an investigation, and take appropriate action, into Michael Bennett’s obvious false allegations against our officers.”
“While the NFL may condone Bennett’s disrespect for our American Flag, and everything it symbolizes, we hope the League will not ignore Bennett’s false accusations against our police officers.”
The LVPPA is demanding Roger Goodell punish Bennett as a result of his strong words that suggested he was only detained for being a black man.
On Wednesday, the Seattle Seahawks defensive end took to Twitter and posted a story on how he was treated by Las Vegas police after he heard gun shots at a Vegas casino. Soon after, he had a gun to his head and was threatened by local police.
