After Being Trashed on Social Media for Picking Chiefs, Maurice Jones-Drew Fires Back (Video + Tweet)
Earlier this week, NFL running back-turned-studio analyst Maurice Jones-Drew picked the Kansas City Chiefs to beat the New England Patriots on Thursday night, and the internet thought he was crazy.
Here’s video of MJD making his prediction, then defending it to the NFL Network’s Dave Dameshek:

And here are some of the things people had to say about MJD’s prediction on Twitter:

Someone is looking for attention.

Sorry, but this is just foolish. Bill is a mad genius. I’m sure if you asked Andy Reed, he would say BB is the G.O.A.T.

Part 1: “I screwed up.” Part 2: “I’m sorry.” How difficult is that?

Of course, as you probably know, Maurice Jones-Drew was right. Andy Reid had a perfect gameplan for stifling the Patriots offense, and the Chiefs’ offense exploded in the fourth quarter for a shocking 42-27 blowout win.
Naturally, after being vindicated, MJD fired back at the haters on Twitter. However, he didn’t need a single one of the allotted 140 characters.
