Champion Race Dog Tests Positive for Cocaine (Video)

champion race dog clonbrien hero tests positive for cocaine

Champion race dog Clonbrien Hero, winner of Ireland’s top greyhound race, has tested positive for cocaine.

Yes, you read that right. The dog tested positive for coke.

This past July, Clonbrien Hero won the Irish Laurels, one of Ireland’s most prestigious greyhound races held every year at Curraheen Park in County Cork. However, it turns out he failed a drug test immediately after the race, testing positive for benzoylecgonine, the primary compound of cocaine. He has also tested positive on two other occasions.

The Irish Greyhound Board has withheld the prize money for the Laurels win as a result of the failed tests. They have also banned the dog from racing again until he tests clean. So I guess he’s off to doggy rehab.

Of course, as you are probably aware, it is highly unlikely Clonbrien Hero is out buying his coke on the streets. Nevertheless, the dog’s trainer, Graham Holland, insists he is not feeding it PEDs, and that the drug must have been ingested accidentally.

It’s a pretty good excuse if you ask me. My dog accidentally eats drugs all the time.

Below is a video of Clonbrien Hero’s 2017 Laurels win. The poor dog looks so happy afterward, thinking he’s such a good boy. Doesn’t even know he’s a no-good dirty cheater.

In all seriousness, the authorities need to find out whose feeding this dog cocaine and put them in jail.
