Richard Sherman Says ‘Terrible’ QB Play In Week 1 Proves Colin Kaepernick Deserves A Job
After months and months of waiting for football to return to us, the NFL season finally kicked off last weekend with a full slate of games, many of which brought us atrocious quarterback play from around the league.
QB’s like Scott Tolzien and Tom Savage started NFL games and they were terrible. But they weren’t the only ones.
After watching atrocious QB play from the NFL, Seattle Seahawks CB Richard Sherman doubled down on his stance that Kaepernick absolutely deserves a job in the NFL.
In a video with The Players’ Tribune, Sherman spoke on the upcoming match-up against the 49ers and, of course, Colin Kaepernick, who he has been a vocal supporter of in the past.
“But naturally, we’re playing San Fran, they’re gonna ask about Kaepernick. And does he deserve a job? Of course he deserves a job. You saw the quarterback play throughout the league, and it was terrible.
“What happened to Indianapolis. You saying they couldn’t use Kaepernick? That’s crazy talk, but it’s unfortunate that a man is unemployed right now who is a pretty good ball player, won his fair share of ball games. There are lesser-talented guys employed because they didn’t stand up for a cause. Sometimes it’s not about winning, it’s not about losing, it’s about making a statement. And not bringing drama and stress to your organization. And that’s the decision some of these teams are making, unfortunately.”
For @RSherman_25, there’s no doubt why Colin Kaepernick is unsigned.

To put things into perspective, Andy Dalton, who you would’ve thought had his job secured, threw 4 interceptions in his week one loss. And he hasn’t led the Cincinnati Bengals to one touchdown drive now in 8 quarters of football, after losing 13-9 to the Houston Texans on Thursday.
