Seahawks Fans Hold Kaepernick/Michael Bennett Solidarity Protest Outside CenturyLink Field
Michael Bennett was the first Seahawks player to be introduced to the roaring crowd just before their home opener against the 49ers. Not surprisingly, he received the loudest ovation from any of the players who came out during pregame introductions.
Outside of CenturyLink Field, a group of protesters gathered to support the Seahawks defensive end after the situation he went through with Las Vegas police—where he had a gun put to the back of his head and was reportedly threatened with his life.
The group also gathered in support of former San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick, who has yet to secure a job this season following his National Anthem protest last year.

Just before the game, Bennett was again seated during the Anthem, as he’s been since the start of the preseason. Following a sack, he didn’t bother to celebrate, but instead raised his fist to the Seahawks crowd.
