Ric Flair Gives First Interview Since His Scary Hospitalization: ‘It Scared The S— Out of Me’ (VIDEO)
In the last few weeks, Ric Flair has been through hell, health wise.
After being rushed to the hospital and put in a medically induced coma to prep him for surgery, his good friend Jerry Lawler stated doctors gave him a 20% chance to live after his organs started failing post-surgery.
His family, friends, and fans began to prep for the inevitable, but in true Flair fashion, he kicked out just before the three count, woke up, and started cutting promos almost immediately.
After having part of his bowel removed and getting a pacemaker inserted, the WCW/WWE legend held his first interview since the entire ordeal. He spoke with People in detail about his condition and how far he still has to go.
“I crashed in an airplane and broke my back, I’ve been hit by lightning,” Flair tells PEOPLE in this week’s issue. “But this is totally different. Anything I’ve been through before is nothing like this.”
“It scared the s— out of me.”
He adds, “But I’m not out of the woods yet.”
