Colin Kaepernick’s Mom Swings Back At Donald Trump: ‘That Makes Me A Proud B*tch’

San Francisco 49ers v Miami Dolphins

On Friday, President Trump called out ‘Son of a bitch’ national anthem kneelers while campaigning for Luther Strange for Senate in Huntsville, Alabama. His words were enough to make social media lose their minds.

Here’s a transcript:

“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners when someone disrespects our flag? Get that son of a bitch off the field right now. He’s fired. HE’S FIRED!” Trump said, yelling emphatically into the microphone as his speech carried on.

“You know, some owner is gonna do that,” Trump continued. “He’s gonna say ‘That guy disrespects our flag, he’s fired.’ And that owner, they don’t know it. They don’t know it. They’re friends of mine, many of them. They don’t know it. They’ll be the most popular person in the country for a week. They’ll be the most popular person in the country.”

Many believed right away that he was taking aim at the person who kicked off the protest last year—former San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick, who still remains a free agent, partly due to that protest.

Colin Kaepernick’s mother, Teresa, took to Twitter shortly after Trump’s comments started to go viral. She made it clear that she was a proud mother of her son.

She also responded to a question posed by former NFL tight end Shannon Sharpe on whether NFL owners would actually speak out against Trump’s rhetoric like they did for Kaepernick’s protest.
