Lions Lose Heart-Breaking Game; Head Back To Locker Room To Find It’s On Fire (VIDEO)
With six seconds left in the game against the Atlanta Falcons, wide receiver Golden Tate appeared to have scored a game-winning touchdown with less than 10 seconds to go. The Lions were just about ready to start celebrating a hard-fought victory over the defending NFC Champs.
Then the refs decided to review the play. After taking a look, they felt they saw conclusive evidence that Tate’s knee was down before passing the goal line. As a result, the touchdown was called back, there was a 10 second runoff, and the Atlanta Falcons were awarded the victory.
The Lions headed back to their locker room already upset, only to find out it was basically on fire.
