Lions Lose On One of The Most Controversial Final Plays You Will Ever See (VIDEO)
The Detroit Lions gave the Atlanta Falcons everything they had, but it just wasn’t meant to be.
Lions fans probably feel like their team got robbed today because of the controversial play that overturned a touchdown and gave the Falcons the nail-biting victory.
Down four points in the 4th quarter, quarterback Matthew Stafford drove his squad all the way down to the two yard line. From there, it appeared as thought wide receiver Golden Tate had snuck the ball over the goal line on a 3rd-and-goal play with six seconds left to give the team the lead. It was a great moment for the team…until it wasn’t.

Of course, all scoring plays are reviewed and the officials saw conclusive evidence that Tate’s knee was down prior to crossing that goal line. The touchdown was wiped out and the Falcons escaped.
