After Standing For Anthem, Steelers’ Alejandro Villanueva Now Has The Best Selling Jersey In The NFL
On Sunday, Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin announced that none of his players would be on the field during the national anthem—in response to the comments made by President Donald Trump on Friday.
Pittsburgh Steelers lineman Alejandro Villanueva wasn’t having any of that. He showed up alone, right there in the tunnel with his hand over his heart, standing at attention during the playing of the Star-Spangled Banner.
It took less than 24 hours for him to have the best selling jersey in the entire league, beating out Tom Brady, Carson Wentz, Dak Prescott and Aaron Rodgers, who round out the top five for Sep. 24.
