Eagles Kicker Jake Elliott Wins Game with 61-Yard Field Goal as Time Expires, and the Reaction from His Parents Is PRICELESS (Videos)
Relatively speaking, not many NFL players get to experience the thrill of winning a game with some last-second heroics. Even fewer get to do it with their mom and dad in attendance.
On Sunday, Philadelphia Eagles kicker Jake Elliott did both.
Elliott, a rookie playing in just his third NFL game, lifted the Eagles to a thrilling 27-24 victory over the NFC East rival New York Giants on Sunday, kicking a massive 61-yard field goal as time expired.

Afterward, Elliott was carried off the field on his teammates’ shoulders as adoring Eagles fans stood and cheered. It was basically like the end of Rudy.
The best part about all this? Elliott’s parents were in the stands. They made the trip from Illinois to see their son play. And luckily somebody had their camera on them during Jake’s game-winning kick. Take a look:

Being a kicker in the NFL is pretty thankless. Jake Elliott may go on to have a prolific NFL career, or he may get cut by the Eagles in Week 9. Either way, he’ll always have this incredible moment, and he’ll always know his parents were there to see it. It doesn’t get much better than that.
