Odell Beckham Jr. Admits Dog Pee Celebration Was a Dig at President Trump (TWEETS)
New York Giants superstar Odell Beckham Jr. shocked NFL fans on Sunday when he celebrated a touchdown against the Philadelphia Eagles by getting down on his hands and knees and pretending to be a dog taking a piss.
Pretty much nobody liked this celebration. Fox announcer Joe Buck called it a “classless celebration,” and Giants owner John Mara was reportedly “very unhappy.”
When asked about the stunt after the game, Beckham told reporters, “I’m a dog so I acted like a dog. I don’t know if the rulebook said you can’t hike your leg. [The referee] said I peed on somebody, so I was trying to find the imaginary ghost that I peed on. But I didn’t see him.”
But what did Beckham mean when he said he was a dog? That’s what CNN editor A.J. Willingham wondered. And eventually she came up with the theory that it might have been in reference to President Trump‘s infamous “son of a bitch” speech. After all, if a bitch is a female dog, that means players are dogs.
IDK but you think maybe @OBJ_3‘s “I’m a dog” display/comment was in reference to “son of a bitch” (i.e. dog) line?

On Monday afternoon, Odell responded to Willingham’s tweet. He confirmed that her theory is correct, and that his much-criticized touchdown celebration was in fact a shot at the President.
