Bears’ Danny Trevathan Suspended 2 Games For Hit On Davante Adams (VIDEO)
The NFL has reviewed the tape and they’ve decided to come down hard on Danny Trevathan, suspending the Chicago Bears linebacker for two games as a result of his helmet-to-helmet hit on Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams.
Trevathan apologized for the hit after the game, and word out of Green Bay is that Adams did not suffer any serious injuries. He was released from the hospital on Friday and hasn’t even been placed in concussion protocol.
Despite all of that, Trevathan’s hit was still dirty. He wasn’t ejected from the game on Thursday, but he should have been. It’s just the type of play the NFL is trying to get rid of.
According to ESPN, Trevathan plans to appeal the suspension. Here’s another look at the hit:
