LaVar Ball Pulls LaMelo Ball From Chino Hills; Will Home-School Him For Next 2 Years
Just when you think you have LaVar Ball down to a science, he goes and does something completely unexpected.
LaMelo Ball, who’s slated to play at UCLA in a few years, will no longer be at Chino Hills High School because his father is pulling him from school to home-school him for the next two years, according to the LA Times.
“The 16-year-old junior at Chino Hills will be home-schooled and not play for any team, his father, LaVar Ball, said Monday in a phone call.
“I’m going to make him the best basketball player ever,” LaVar said.
He intends to check him out on Tuesday.
LaVar had already been having concerns about Chino Hills’ new coach, Dennis Latimore.
“It’s good for Melo,” LaVar said. “Less distractions. He just needs to focus.”
The next time people will be able to see LaMelo play is next spring in travel ball.
“They’ll have to sit back and wait,” LaVar said.”
LaVar still intends to have LaMelo attend UCLA.
With the Ball brothers in action, Chino Hills sold out games, competed for championships, and also went 35-0 a few years ago.
