Dwight Howard Airs Out His First Free Throw As A Member Of The Charlotte Hornets (Video)
Lots of NBA big men are terrible at free throws. Even all-time legends like Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain struggled at the charity strip. There’s just something about giant hands that makes it hard to square up from 15 feet.
Dwight Howard knows all about this struggle. Howard, who’s now playing for the Charlotte Hornets, his fourth team in four seasons, is not the worst free-throw shooter in the NBA. But he’s pretty close. His .5658 conversion rate is third-worst among active players, behind only Andre Drummond and DeAndre Jordan. It’s also 12th-worst all-time.
On Monday night, during a preseason game against the Boston Celtics, Howard showed no signs of improving. Late in the first quarter the eight-time All Star stepped to the charity stripe and aired out his first free throw as a member of the Hornets.

It’s ok Dwight Howard…you can still work on your free throws before the season starts
