Even When They Don’t Have Elaborate Celebration Planned, Eagles Still Spike Ball As A Team (GIF)

Eagles Touchdown Celebration

The Philadelphia Eagles are winning in more ways than one this season. First and foremost they are winning games. After beating the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte on Thursday night, the Eagles are 5-1. However, they’re also racking up wins in the NFL’s unofficial weekly touchdown celebration contests.

During last week’s win over the Arizona Cardinals, six players teamed up for an epic baseball-themed touchdown celebration:

On Thursday, while they didn’t have anything elaborate planned, the Eagles still turned in a pretty impressive celebration.

Wide receiver Nelson Agholor hauled in a 24-yard touchdown pass from Carson Wentz to put the Eagles up 28-16 in the fourth quarter. However, he didn’t spike the ball himself. Instead, Agholor handed it off to center Jason Kelce, and the whole offense gathered around him while he spiked it.

Take a look:

In an era where athletes are so often criticized for being selfish, the Eagles are scoring as a team, celebrating as a team, and winning as a team.

And hey, if they eventually choke just like they did last year, well, they’ll do that as a team too.
