Karl-Anthony Towns Wears Amazing Friday the 13th Sneakers for Halloween (Pics)
Karl-Anthony Towns may not have dressed up as Pennywise on Monday, but he did wear some pretty amazing custom kicks.
The young Minnesota Timberwolves superstar sported Friday the 13th Nike sneakers during Monday’s 125-122 win over the Miami Heat. They had blood spatter all over, with supernatural serial killer Jason Voorhees in his trademark hockey mask on the ankle.
The best part? Instead of a bowie knife, Jason is holding a bloody Nike swoosh.
Take a look:
For those who might be wondering, just like the NFL, the NBA does have rules regulating the colors of sneakers. However, the NBA also has a number of “special event” days when player are allowed to wear anything they want. Halloween is one of those days, and Towns clearly took full advantage.
Given the way KAT played on Monday, Minnesota Timberwolves fans are going to wish he could wear his Jason sneakers every day. The 21-year-old center scored 20 points, grabbed 12 boards, and blocked three shots in just 38 minutes.
