Justin Verlander To Skip Houston Astros Parade & Marry Kate Upton in Italy
In less than a week, Justin Verlander is set to have two rings on his fingers.
Instead of attending the celebratory parade in Houston after their World Series win, the Tigers ace and his fiancée, Kate Upton, will get married this week in Italy.
It’s been roughly 18 months since the couple got engaged, and Verlander had to make the difficult decision to waive his no-trade clause and move from Detroit to Houston in August. But in the end, the decision paid off handsomely.
Verlander’s teammate Carlos Correa proposed to his longtime girlfriend on the field immediately after securing the Game 7 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
