Vikings’ Stefon Diggs Being Accused of Doing A 9/11 Plane Crash Celebration (VIDEO + TWEETS)
Welcome to social media, where if you can find a reason to be offended by something, you’ll look long and hard for it just so you can complain about it.
On Sunday, during a game against the Washington Redskins, Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs scored his second TD of the day. To celebrate, he ran towards the goal post and brought out his best Antonio Brown impersonation by bear hugging it before falling to the ground.
It seemed innocent enough and people had a good laugh about it, despite him being flagged for the celebration. Then a quick stroll on Twitter revealed one person had an issue with Digg’s actions, and he made it into something it was not intended to be.
One Twitter user took to the popular site and posted that the Minnesota Vikings WR was mocking what happened on 9/11 by pretending to be a plane and crashing into the World Trade Center. The post quickly went viral.
WARNING: Do not show this to your kids!
This has gone way too far, @NFL. I thought you couldn’t go any lower, but today a player reenacted the 9/11 #terrorattacks on the #WTC as a #touchdown celebration. I vomited when I saw this. Absolute filthy #scum.#BoycottNFL#NeverForget pic.twitter.com/oRllIgwCll

You should be banned from speaking…. forever. — Michael Kinlund (@Atmos21) November 13, 2017
What’s it feel like going through life trying so hard to find things to be outraged about? Your attempt here sounds exhausting. And hilarious. Thanks for the chuckle.

It means you excel at the mental gymnastics to convince yourself that this was an homage to terror attacks. I’m honestly impressed. — RJ Beal (@rjbeal23) November 13, 2017
Uh, THE ARMS. They are made to look like a plane. There are two towers (the goal posts). He runs directly into them. Tell me I’m wrong.

Ummmm not even close to that. — BrandonAmbrose_ (@BrandonAmbrose_) November 14, 2017
Bruh, he legit said that he did it cause of “Salute to Soldiers”. He said he has many family/friends in the military, and he acted as the FG post was him “Hugging” a soldier.

This is by far the stupidest thing I’ve read in a while. I genuinely feel bad for you lol. I don’t know how you saw that, but you should get your priorities straight if that’s where your mind goes. — James (@jamestrain8) November 14, 2017
I’m guessing you don’t watch the Vikings much? They do weird, funny, and child-like TD celebrations all the time. If you think I’m wrong, do you’re homework before tweeting this. Sorry that you think you saw this, but I believe you are honestly the only person in America who did.
